Early this morning our coach will depart for the Balloon Fiesta Grounds for the morning ascension of over 700 balloons and we will probably see one of the special events such as the key race in which they compete to grab car keys from a pole to win a new car. Please bring a jacket, as it can be quite cool in the early morning. Coffee and donuts and a place to sit and rest will be provided at our special tent for motorcoach travelers. Mid morning we'll return to the hotel. This afternoon will include a visit to the Sandia Peak to ride the world's longest tram to the summit for a great view of the city, followed by an included dinner at the base of the mountain.  BD

Today we'll visit "Sky City" to have a tour of Acoma Pueblo. Regarded as the oldest continuously inhabited community in the U.S.  A native American will lead us through this community located on top of a butte.  The Sky City Cultural Center at the base offers more insight on Acoma's living history and culture. This evening we'll return to the Balloon Fiesta to see the balloons lit up against the night sky and we'll stay for the evening fireworks, weather permitting. BL

Departing Albuquerque after this most memorable experience, we will make our morning rest stop at Roswell, NM at an “alien” McDonalds.  Then we’re on to Carlsbad, NM.  We will visit Carlsbad Caverns National Park. Listen to the Calliope as you cruise the great Mississippi River. The rest of the day is yours to explore all the amenities of "Nawlins". L
