Be one of the first to experience the excitement of the new Consol Energy Center (formerly Mellon Arena). Join us as we celebrate the spirit, strength and history of our Nation with the FREE live-action U.S. Army show. The history of the nation will come to life through historical re-enactments, musical entertainment and precision military drill by more than three hundred active duty soldiers from the U.S. Army Military District of Washington. Arrival at the Center approximately 6:00pm for general admission seating. There is no reserved seating for this special event. Food services will be available.

VATICAN SPLENDORS
One of the largest Vatican artwork collections to ever tour America will visit Pittsburgh at the Heinz History Center this fall. One of only three places to exhibit the collection, we will experience one of the world’s greatest works of art. Some pieces have never been outside of the Vatican walls. Original works by Michelangelo, a first generation cast of the Pieta, Guercino’s “Portrait of Christ with Crown of Thorns,” a reliquary containing the remains of St. Peter and St. Paul that has never been outside of the Vatican, and many more rarely seen artifacts. You will have headphones with the audio information to help you understand what you are seeing. A MUST SEE!!!! A stop will be made before the tour at the Strip District for you to purchase your lunch and do a little shopping. Make your reservation early, as we expect this tour to sell out quickly.
